Those are real numbers. I didn’t post those numbers above to show off. I posted them to share with you what is possible. I should know. They are some of the numbers I have been charging my happy clients for decades. They pay me in return for high-value exchange advice that 99.9% of the time works for them.
They might pay me £2,000 for an hour of advice yet what they discover can be the difference between hundreds of thousands and in many cases millions in sales.
I do this from home. I’ve done this from home for decades. It gives me an incredible lifestyle. I do believe with some work on your part you could probably do the same. You just don’t know it yet.
Here’s The Secret To Getting Paid To Give Your Best Advice
I’ll tell you this for free. As a business consultant, you have to become ‘THE’ expert.
But you might be thinking, ‘expertise’ is something that eludes me?’ Not really, we all have expertise in something.
Let me take you back a little.
You might know I used to be a hairdresser. I was a hairdresser from 1982 to 2003.
I accidentally became an expert in building hair salon businesses - a consultant. This was due to the fact that when my company reps came into my three salons they could never believe how busy my salons were. The salons were always packed and, there was a secret.
That secret for me was always very, very simple. I did the opposite of what all salons were doing and did everything I knew about marketing at the time to make sure the salons were kept busy. Suddenly I had large cosmetic companies asking me for my specialist advice so they could help other salons achieve the same success. I had become an expert of sorts.
I eventually sold my salons and started my new direct response company, OrangeBeetle.com. From here I was asked by all kinds of small, medium and large companies to give my ‘expert’ advice. I was now being asked to give that ‘expert’ advice to industries I really didn’t know too much about.
Fast Track Research Expert
So, I had to discover a fast-track way to become ‘the’ expert in a new industry very quickly. I discovered a way to master how to do that and still use that very same speed-driven secret today. This has enabled me to have the unique ability to not only share deep insights into businesses for business owners but, also to confidently ask as much as £2,000 per hour for a high-value exchange meeting.
Amazing right? I think it is especially when I think of where I came from. An incredibly poor start in life walked out of school at fifteen and became a landscape gardener because I wasn’t qualified to do anything else to be where I am right now - the consultant.
Today, I have consulted and worked with well over 600 industries, new start-ups, small, medium, large and huge corporate monsters. Over the decades I’ve worked with them all.
So is it possible to become a micro expert in every business you work with?
YES … and it’s surprisingly simple to gain expertise quite quickly.
I will give you one quick example.
The Racehorse Consultant
A new client came to me. His business was racehorses. He needed to increase his income through the system used in that industry. The fact is, I know zero about racehorses and I needed to know. I needed to very quickly become a micro expert in his business. The first thing I did was go online and check out any printed magazines on the subject.
The next step was for me to go out and buy all of those magazines. Then when I got back home and had read them cover to cover, and followed links, connections, websites and other experts I knew more about the industry than any man on the street. Within a week I felt expert enough to work with the expertise I had now collected about that industry.
Of course, there is far more to it than just buying some magazines, but this is one of the first things I do. This is a critical step to becoming ‘the’ expert quickly.
And the truth is buying, selling and running a business never changes. It is just that different industries have different approaches to the same outcome - sales!
The Many Heads Consultant
I have become a car sales consultant, security consultant, online sales consultant, direct mail campaign consultant, salon consultant, dental consultant, landscape consultant, high-street shop consultant and many, many more industries I don’t really know too much about until I am asked to consult for them.
